Update to Durham Region Agricultural Strategy
About the project
The Region of Durham is updating the Agricultural Strategy 2013-2018 (the Strategy) to include new opportunities that support the long-term growth of the agriculture and agri-food sector. The Strategy was developed by the Region of Durham in consultation with industry stakeholders from across the agriculture sector. Agricultural production generates significant returns and is the main economic activity in the rural areas of Durham.
Join the conversation
When the Strategy was developed, it was intended to serve the agriculture industry for a five‐year period. Moving forward, an updated Strategy and action plan is required to reflect new opportunities and support the long-term growth of the agriculture and agri-food sector in Durham.
