Public Information Centre for the widening of Stevenson Road in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding an in-person Public Information Centre (PIC) for input into the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) for the reconstruction and widening of Stevenson Road in Oshawa.
When: Thursday, November 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Glen Stewart Community Centre, 201 Cabot Street in Oshawa.
Why: Public consultation is a key component of the study. The widening of Stevenson Road is identified in the Durham Transportation Master Plan as the preferred solution to address operational deficiencies, road safety and increasing traffic volumes.
The PIC includes:
- An overview of the Class EA process and project status to date.
- A review of the evaluation of alternative design concepts and the recommended design.
- Next steps for the project.
Note: If unable to attend the PIC, the material presented will be posted on the Region’s website following the PIC and open for comments until December 9 at durham.ca/StevensonRoadEA.
