Upcoming lane restrictions and road closure on Conlin Road in Whitby and Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in co-ordination with the City of Oshawa, is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions and a road closure on Conlin Road in the Town of Whitby and City of Oshawa.
When and where: Starting May 2, 2022 until October 2023, ongoing lane restrictions and road closures will be required in stages throughout construction. Access for local traffic and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. The roadway is expected to be opened for the 2022-2023 winter season. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Lane restrictions
Starting May 2, ongoing lane restrictions will be required on Conlin Road, from Thickson Road North (Regional Road 26) to Stevenson Road North in Whitby and Oshawa.
Road closures
Starting May 9 until December 2022, Conlin Road and Conlin Road West, from Garrard Road to Stevenson Road North, and the intersection of Thornton Road North in Oshawa and Whitby, will be closed to through traffic. Further closures will be required, and updates will be provided.
Why: To safely install a new feedermain, watermain, sanitary and storm sewer, and to facilitate road reconstruction.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
