Workplace Mediation and Management Consultation

Workplace mediation is a structured process where an impartial counsellor, certified to provide workplace mediation services, facilitates resolution of a dispute between parties by helping them develop mutually agreed-upon solutions to improve working relationships. Mediation is a productive way to address issues that arise in the workplace, since disputes can be resolved without lawyers and legal processes. Parties are encouraged to work together to resolve their differences. In addition, issues can be addressed quickly and thoroughly.

Participation may be voluntary, or mandatory if performance related. Supervisors or managers can make referrals to resolve co-worker disputes or work team concerns by contacting the Director of Family Services, or the Manager of Business/Development and EAP.
