Uxbridge is the Trail Capital of Canada! With over 350 kilometres of recreational and multi-use trails, residents and visitors are provided with the opportunity to walk, hike, mountain bike, horseback ride, cross-country ski, or snowshoe.
The Regional Cycling Plan 2021 identifies actions and initiatives that will help the Region and area municipalities work together to provide a high-quality, well connected, and safe cycling network that accommodates people of all ages and abilities.
The Region of Durham is making it easier to navigate by bike with the development of a Cycling Wayfinding and Signage Strategy. The goal is to come with new visually consistent signs that help residents and visitors navigate more easily the Region’s Primary Cycling Network and connect with key destinations.
