Upcoming lane restrictions from September 15 to December 31, daytime only, on North Street, from 200 metres north of Grady Drive to 370 metres south of Concession Road 3, in the community of Newcastle in the Municipality of Clarington. Lane restrictions will be in place to safely construct a multi-use walkway and place surface asphalt in support of new development.
Curbside Giveaway Day is back on Saturday, September 19 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to help turn your unwanted goods into someone else’s treasure! Curbside Giveaway Day is an event organized in co-operation with the local area municipalities, where residents can place unwanted items still in good condition—clearly marked as “Free”—on their curb for anyone to pick up. At the end of the Curbside Giveaway Day, residents should bring any items that were not taken back into their homes.
The Region of Durham is advising residents and businesses of an upcoming road closure from September 9 to December 31 on Liberty Street North (Regional Road 14), from Longworth Avenue to Bons/Freeland Avenue, in the Municipality of Clarington for road reconstruction, installation of sewer collection and watermain distribution systems, and the construction of a new roundabout.
