Durham Region celebrates National Public Works Week (NPWW) from May 18 to 24, 2025 to recognize the vital services our public works staff provide each and every day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on May 24 for our National Public Works Week events at the Durham York Energy Centre and the Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control Plant!
This event was more than just a fun-filled day of simulators, equipment demonstrations, Touch-a-Truck experiences and tours — it was a celebration of the incredible work our public works staff do every single day to keep our communities throughout Durham Region running smoothly. Thank you to the Works Department for all that you do!
