Improving Children’s Development and Readiness for School

The goal of the project is for students to create resource kits that align with the Early Development Instrument (EDI) using the most current data.

 Host Department: Social Services

 Type of Collaboration: A small group of students working on a capstone project, or a large group of students using the engagement collaboration model, or a topic of study within a classroom

 Anticipated Outcome: A resource kit that will help to support the transition of preschool children to Kindergarten to create a sense of belonging and safety where children feel ready to engage and learn.

 Deliverables: Prototyping

 Timeline: 4 months

 Desired Start Date: Winter Semester 2026
