The Region of Durham’s Income, Employment and Homelessness Supports Division offers a robust series of workshops aimed at equipping low-income and vulnerable populations with pre-employment and life skills supports. These offerings provide valuable support and complement similar programs delivered by community organizations and institutions. The Region would like to explore what workshops are currently being offered in Durham that align with the themes of employment readiness, financial literacy, wellness, and life skills. Additionally, they would like to understand where overlaps or redundancies exist between their programming and those of community partners, and what the barriers are to participate faced by our target populations. Lastly, what new or adapted workshops could fill identified gaps and meet emerging needs?
