Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham, in collaboration with local area municipalities and community partners, is calling on businesses interested in working with the municipal sector to showcase their products or services at this year’s virtual Business Showcase on April 15, 16 and 17.

Whitby, Ontario – Work is underway to develop Durham Region’s 2025 Strategic Plan, which will guide the direction of our work over the next few years.

Upcoming road closure and lane restrictions on Lambs Road in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure and lane restrictions on Lambs Road in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: From March 11 to April 5, Lambs Road will be closed. After April 5, intermittent lane restrictions will be required until August 15. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Lambs Road from King Street East (Regional Highway 2) to Concession Street East in Clarington.

Upcoming lane restrictions on Winchester Road in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Winchester Road in the Town of Whitby.

When: From March 4 until July 2024. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Winchester Road, between Durham Street and Watford Street/Anderson Street, in Whitby.

Why: To safely construct temporary traffic signals and roadway illumination in preparation for the reconstruction of Winchester Road.

Free tax filing help is available to residents living with low income

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region residents who earn a low income, or who have no income, can get help with filing their taxes for free. Through tax filing, eligible residents can access benefits and credits that could put money in their pockets and help cover basic needs. There are more than 40 benefits and credits in Ontario; many can only be accessed through tax filing.
