Blue box collection schedule changes in Oshawa and Whitby due to the holiday season

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to the scheduled blue box collection due to the holiday season.

When: Monday, December 25 to Saturday, December 30 and Monday, January 1 to Saturday, January 6.

Where: Residents of the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby only will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day.

Volunteers needed for the Durham Region Newcomer Advisory Table

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) is seeking applications from newcomer residents for the Newcomer Advisory Table.

Members of the Newcomer Advisory Table will inform the strategic direction of the DLIP; and support the work of the DLIP and its various action groups to strengthen economic prosperity, service coordination and sense of belonging among newcomers. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Bayly Street (Regional Road 22) in the City of Pickering. 

When: November 13 to 17. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Bayly Street between Alliance Road and Krosno Boulevard, in Pickering.

Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to allow for a site servicing project.
