Whitby, Ontario – Eligible residents can receive money for their child’s post-secondary education through the Canada Learning Bond. This Government of Canada benefit will deposit up to $2,000 into a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP), helping households with a modest income grow their child’s education savings.

Regional Council shares documents related to 1635 Dundas Street

Whitby, Ontario – At its meeting on October 25, 2023, Regional Council heard from delegates regarding 1635 Dundas and voted not to reopen the discussion about the use of the facility for a low-barrier shelter. Regional Council adopted the Motions to Release additional documents to the public, including the Designated Substance Survey report and the invoice for Appraisal Services related to 1635 Dundas Street East. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used or unwanted household batteries out for recycling on their blue box collection day, during the week of November 6.

When: Fall battery collection occurs from November 6 to 10 on blue box collection days.
