Reminder to share the road with farm vehicles

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents that harvest season is coming soon. Drivers may experience temporary delays on rural roads due to slow moving farm machinery. Motorists are asked to be patient and cautious when sharing the road with these vehicles.

When: Harvest season starts in the fall and will continue until the ground is frozen.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road in the Town of Ajax and Town of Whitby.

When: September 5 to 8. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Lake Ridge Road, from north of Kingston Road to south of Rossland Road, in Ajax and Whitby.

Where: Lane restrictions on Taunton Road, from 320 metres east of Bowmanville Avenue to west of Liberty Street, in Clarington.

Changes to blue box recycling collection schedule in Oshawa and Whitby in observance of Labour Day

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to the scheduled blue box collection due to the Labour Day Holiday on September 4.

When: Monday, September 4 to Saturday, September 9.

Where: Residents of the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby only will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day.
