Lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road in Pickering

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) in the City of Pickering.

When: August 21 and 22. Unfavourable conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Lake Ridge Road, from Seventh Concession Road to 300 metres north of Seventh Concession Road, in Pickering.

Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to allow for two new entranceways into Watson’s Glen Golf Club.

Community engagement session for residents to provide input and help shape 1635 Dundas

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham has recently acquired a Whitby-based site that will provide housing to those who need it. Referred to as 1635 Dundas (formerly Sunnycrest Nursing Home), the site is an ideal location for temporary housing with wraparound supports and will help people get back on their feet again.

The Region will host a community engagement session to gather input on the health and human services that would be beneficial to the site.

Upcoming road closures on Bowmanville Avenue in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) and a full closure of the intersection of Bowmanville Avenue and Regional Road 3/Concession Road 8 in the Municipality of Clarington.

Lane restrictions on Park Road in Oshawa due to watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Park Road, south of John Street, in the City of Oshawa due to ongoing watermain break repairs.

When: Until the repair is complete.

Where: Lane restrictions are in place on Park Road, south of John Street, in Oshawa.  

Why: To safely repair the watermain break.
