Durham Region is reminding drivers to leave at least one metre of space between their vehicle and bicycles or e-bikes on the road to help keep riders safe.
Motorists may cross the centre line to pass a cyclist if it is safe and legal. Otherwise, they must wait behind the cyclist until it is safe to pass.
