Upcoming road closure on Riverside Drive in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Riverside Drive in Ajax.

Where: Riverside Drive, from Rossland Road West to Delaney Drive in the Town of Ajax. Access will still be available to Riverside Golf Club from the south.

When: September 29 to October 10. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Give your batteries a new life: recycle your batteries the week of October 6

Whitby, Ontario – Don't let your old batteries go to waste! The Region of Durham is calling on residents to recycle their used household batteries by placing them on top of their closed Green Bin during collection days the week of October 6.

When: Fall battery collection occurs from October 6 to 10 on Green Bin collection days.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) in the Township of Brock.

When: Most of the work will take place between September 29 until the end of November 2025, with the final road paving work to take place in 2026. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
