Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of a road closure on Stevenson Road North, between Marion Avenue and Beurling Avenue, in the City of Oshawa.
When: Ongoing until further notice. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Stevenson Road North, between Marion Avenue and Beurling Avenue, in Oshawa.
Why: To repair a broken watermain.

Durham Region installs electric vehicle charging station at its corporate headquarters

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region recently unveiled six new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its corporate headquarters building at 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby.
The charging stations, located along the north wall on the first floor of the parking garage, are available for use by staff and visitors of Durham Regional Headquarters. Designated parking for electric vehicles is also available.

Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of July 29 indicate that one beach has been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the Provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.
