Convenient curbside natural Christmas tree collection in January 2024

Whitby, Ontario – When the holidays are over, Durham Region will provide its annual curbside collection of natural Christmas trees. Natural Christmas trees will be composted with leaf and yard waste.
When and where:
- Ajax and Pickering: Christmas tree collection will be on regular collection days during the weeks of January 8 and 15 only.
- Brock, Clarington, Scugog and Uxbridge: Christmas tree collection will take place on Monday, January 8 and Monday, January 15 only.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Regional Waste Management Facilities (WMF) in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa and the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington will have revised days of operation during the holiday season.

Durham Region seeking input to assist in development of new 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is developing a new 10-Year Housing and Homelessness Plan; a document that will set out strategic direction and actions for housing and homelessness for the next 10 years.
