Applications are open for the Community Safety and Well-Being Fund
Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Community Safety and Well-Being Secretariat is accepting applications for the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund Grant program. This grant program supports not-for-profit organizations and community groups who are leading violence prevention initiatives in communities throughout Durham.
When:
- Submissions for Stream One, Direct Intervention Fund, will be accepted from April 27 to May 22, 2026.
- Submissions for Stream Two, Community Strengthening Fund, will be accepted from April 27 to May 22, 2026.
- Submissions for Stream Three, Intimate Partner Violence and Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response Fund, will be accepted from April 27 to May 22, 2026.

Why: Durham Region is committed to community safety and well-being, a process made possible through the implementation of our Durham Region CSWB Plan.
Not-for-profit organizations and other community partners are uniquely positioned to address complex community safety and well-being challenges because they understand community needs and have expertise related to service delivery within these specific communities.
