Building a stronger Durham: Thriving Communities Fund now open to non-profits
Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is accepting applications for the Thriving Communities Fund, which supports local non-profit organizations to help prevent and/or reduce poverty for Durham residents.
What: The Thriving Communities Fund supports non-profit organizations with operational and/or capacity building activities that strengthen their ability to deliver programs and services. The maximum amount to be awarded is $50,000 per approved application.
When: The deadline for non-profit organizations to apply is March 26, at noon. For more information, visit durham.ca/CSIP.
Why: Durham Region’s non-profit sector provides important programs and services to support residents of all ages and stages, helping to address key issues that impact our community. Through supporting community non-profits, we will help to build a stronger Durham.
Note: Organizations with project ideas focused on food security may wish to apply for the Sustainable Food Security Fund, which will launch on May 4, 2026.
