Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is proud to champion the innovators and job creators who launch businesses and drive economic growth by proclaiming November 18 to 22 Do It In Durham Entrepreneurship Week.

A flag raising at Durham Regional Headquarters marks the start of Do It In Durham—a week-long event series for anyone who wants to start a business, grow a business or explore entrepreneurship in Durham Region. Participants can tap into expert guidance from a diverse lineup of speakers, build new strategies and skills, network and connect with new opportunities at more than 60 planned events across the region.

Now in its 12th year, Do It In Durham is led by the Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD) with events hosted in collaboration with Durham Region’s community partners and business support, educational and networking organizations. It runs during Global Entrepreneurship Week—an international initiative with over 40,000 events worldwide.

Turning challenges into opportunities is at the heart of entrepreneurship and with nearly 75 per cent of businesses in Durham employing 10 people or fewer, the Region is committed to supporting small business development and building our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
