Intersection closure at Thickson Road and Wentworth Street in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming closure at the intersection of Thickson Road and Wentworth Street in Whitby.

When: From May 30 at approximately 7 p.m. to May 31 at approximately 7 a.m. To minimize traffic disruption, the work will be carried out overnight. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: The intersection of Thickson Road and Wentworth Street in Whitby. Traffic will be detoured onto Tricont Avenue and Forbes Street for the duration of the paving operations.

Why: To safely complete surface asphalt paving.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
