Transport Canada’s Navigation Protection Program (NPP) administers the “Canadian Navigable Waters Act” (CNWA) which helps keep Canada’s navigable waters open for transport and recreation. In accordance with requirements of the Canadian Navigable Waters Act, the Regional Municipality of Durham hereby gives notice that an application has been submitted to the Minister of Transport for the below work(s):

Project Description: Durham Region is undergoing detail design and environmental permitting for the Lake Ontario Monitoring System (LOMS) Project, which involves the installation of specialized equipment at the intake of the Whitby Water Supply Plant (WSP).
