Regional Road 15 - Township of Brock - Beaver River Bridge - Canadian Navigable Waters Act

The Regional Municipality of Durham has submitted information to the Navigable Waters Registry, as required under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act. This submission is now available for public comment and it includes details about the project site and plans.

In accordance with paragraph 10(1)(b) of the Act, the Region has filed with the Minister of Transport through the online Common Project Search registry (http://common-project-search.canada.ca). Under registry number 14195, a description of the work, its site and plans can be found. The proposed work involves replacing the current temporary Beaver River Bridge with a new permanent bridge. The bridge crosses over the Beaver River at approximately 44° 25’ 29.06069”N, 79° 7’ 26.28770”W, Regional Road 15, Township of Brock, Region of Durham, in the Province of Ontario.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation can be submitted through the comment section on the Common Project Search website (search by registry number 14195). Or if you do not have access to the internet, by sending your comments directly to:

Transport Canada (TC) will not make your comments on a project available to the public on the online public registry. However, any information related to a project is considered unclassified public record and could be accessible upon legal request. As such, the information and records provided should not contain confidential or sensitive information. If you wish to provide confidential or sensitive information that you think should not be made public, please contact TC before submitting it.

However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received no later than 30 days after the publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
