Road closure and water service interruption on Wilson Road North in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of a road closure and water service interruption taking place on Wilson Road North in the City of Oshawa due to an emergency watermain valve replacement.
When: The road closure is expected to be in place from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. on February 11.
Where: The road will be closed on Wilson Road North from Attersley Drive to Terrace Drive in Oshawa.
Why: To safely complete an emergency watermain valve replacement.
Note: Businesses and residents in the area may experience a temporary water service interruption or low water pressure for the duration of the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
The Region realizes that the work is disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
