Road closure on Bloor Street in Courtice

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents of an upcoming road closure westbound on Bloor Street (Regional Road 22) in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: Road closure will be in place from approximately December 8, 2025 to April 24, 2026. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Road closure will be in place westbound on Bloor Street, from Trulls Road to Prestonvale Road, in Courtice. Westbound access will be permitted for local traffic only. Eastbound access will still be open. Detour notices will be in place.

Why: For the safe installation of watermains, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, as well as the reconstruction of Bloor Street in support of new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
