Road closure on Courtice Road in Courtice

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Courtice Road (Regional Road 34) in the Municipality of Clarington’s community of Courtice.  

When: Day and night January 26 to April 3. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.  

Where: Courtice Road from Bloor Street (Regional Road 22) to 585 metres north of Baseline Road West in Courtice.  

Why: For the safe installation of a sanitary sewer in support of new development.  

Note: Access for local residents to Courtice Road will be maintained. Detour routes will be posted in advance.  

Businesses will remain open for the duration of construction. The Region recognizes there may be potential impacts during the work. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
