Road closure on Taunton Road in Clarington
Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in the Municipality of Clarington, as part of the ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction project for Taunton Road.
When: Road closure will be in place from October 25 to November 29. Entire project is anticipated for completion by summer 2026. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Road closure will be in place on Taunton Road, between Townline Road and Enfield Road, in Clarington. Detour notices will be in place.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Access to residential driveways will be maintained whenever possible. Notification will be given to residents if vehicles need to be moved out of the driveway.
