Whitby, Ontario – Looking for quick and helpful ways to make your home more energy-efficient? Open to everyone in the community, Durham Region’s free Home Energy and Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo offers a clear, fact-based look at electrification–covering heat pumps, home retrofits, solar options and more–while helping residents learn more about available rebates, grants and incentive programs.

Where: Regional Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, in Whitby.
When: Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What: This community-focused expo event is designed to help residents understand how to participate in the energy transition and save on household costs by shifting to electricity‑powered homes and transportation.
Attendees will have the chance to connect with contractors, home energy advisors, solar installers and EV experts, hear first-hand from homeowners about costs, challenges and benefits, and get behind the wheel with EV test drives.
