Whitby, Ontario – Film and television (TV) production is growing across Durham Region, and the industry needs skilled talent. Explore a creative, in-demand future right here at home with Film Durham’s Film and Television Industry Career Fair.
What: This free event is ideal for high school students, post-secondary students, and adults considering a new career path. Get a look at the world of film and TV in Durham Region and discover over 150 career possibilities, from cinematography, directing and sound design to visual effects, animation, costume and props, and more. Meet professionals who work in the field, ask questions, take a film career quiz, and explore interactive displays to discover how different roles align with various skills and interests.
When: Tuesday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Durham College and Ontario Tech University Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, located at 21 Avenue of Champions in Oshawa, Ontario.
Why: With more productions happening locally, Durham Region’s film and TV industry is bigger than ever and creating exciting new opportunities close to home. This event gives students and career-seekers a chance to learn about real career paths and training options, meet the people doing the work, and how to build a future in this thriving local sector.
