Spring into action: updated waste collection schedule for Easter week

Whitby, Ontario – As the Easter holidays approach, the Region of Durham has some important updates to ensure a smooth waste collection experience for residents.

When and where: Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge.

Residents who normally receive waste collection on Fridays are reminded that due to Good Friday, waste collection will take place on Saturday, April 19 instead. 

Residents are encouraged to download the Durham Region Waste App or access the online collection calendar at durham.ca/Waste.

The Durham Region Waste App provides residents with customized collection schedules, collection day reminders, the Know Before You Throw search tool and service alerts. Available on Google Play or in the App Store, free to download.

Regional Waste Management Facilities and Household Special Waste Depot

The Regional Waste Management Facilities in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa, and the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington, will be closed Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19. Regular operating hours will resume Tuesday, April 22.
