Upcoming lane restrictions on Westney Road South and Bayly Street in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions at the Westney Road South and Bayly Street intersection in the Town of Ajax.  

Where: The intersection of Westney Road South (Regional Road 31) and Bayly Street (Regional Road 22) to 220 metres north of the intersection. Only the southbound curb lane is affected.

When: April 14 to May 27, 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: To allow for boulevard work, concrete curb work and pavement operations to create a new southbound right turn lane.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
