Upcoming lane shifts on Thickson Road North in Town of Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane shifts on Thickson Road North in the Town of Whitby.

When: Daytime only August 11 to 22, 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: North and southbound lane shifts on Thickson Road North (Regional Road 26), from Glengowan Street to 250 metres north of Conlin Road, in the Town of Whitby. One lane in each direction will be maintained by shifting the travel lanes to ensure continuous traffic flow.

Why: To safely complete soils investigation in support of development.

The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of work crews.
