Durham Region welcomes significant investment in water infrastructure

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is pleased to be the successful recipient of a Housing Enabling Water System Fund grant from the Province of Ontario. The $34.9 million investment will support a $47.8 million rehabilitation project at the Oshawa Water Supply Plant to create additional system capacity.

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero and in collaboration with the City of Oshawa, The Regional Municipality of Durham is adding a new all-way stop at the intersection of Simcoe Street South (Regional Road 2) and Harbour Road.

Where: At the intersection of Simcoe Street South (Regional Road 2) and Harbour Road in Oshawa.

When: Tentatively scheduled for September 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in the City of Pickering.
