Ajax residents: Help shape Durham’s active transportation future

Whitby, Ontario – Want to be a part of shaping the future of active transportation in Durham Region? The Region is seeking a Town of Ajax resident to serve as a volunteer member of the Durham Active Transportation Committee (DATC).

When: Deadline for applications is December 16.

Why: This is a volunteer position that provides advice on active transportation matters in Durham Region, including urban, rural, utilitarian and recreational transportation programs. As a DATC member, you will play a key role in promoting and expanding active transportation opportunities, ensuring safe and accessible options for all residents.

Note: Volunteers must live in the Town of Ajax.

Interested Town of Ajax residents must submit an application form to the Regional Clerk outlining their interest and qualifications. When selecting members, factors such as the relevance of their interests to the committee’s goals, familiarity with the Region of Durham’s transportation network and availability to attend meetings will be considered.
