Join us at a Public Information Centre to help improve bicycle parking across Durham Region
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is inviting the public to attend an in-person Public Information Centre (PIC) for the Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project. The Bicycle Parking Guidelines strive to provide guidance on ways to make bike parking more convenient, secure and well-designed at busy public places throughout the region.
When: September 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Iroquois Park Sports Centre (500 Victoria Street West, Whitby ON, L1N 9G4)
Why: This public meeting is an opportunity to:
- Learn about the Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project.
- Ask questions and share your feedback.
- Help shape a more bike-friendly, accessible, and sustainable Region.
This project is a meaningful step toward building a more bike-friendly, accessible and sustainable community. The Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project will help ensure that bicycle parking is thoughtfully designed, conveniently located and well-managed – making cycling a more practical and attractive option for everyone. This project is rooted in the vision of the 2021 Durham Regional Cycling Plan, and the PIC is a chance for everyone, including residents, cyclists, visitors and business owners to help shape a Region that is connected and inclusive.
