Showcase and Job Fair aims to grow the skilled workforce for early learning and child care
Whitby, Ontario – Early learning and child care has a growing need for a skilled workforce. Explore this exciting career path and discover job opportunities at the Early Learning and Child Care Showcase and Job Fair.
What: Explore local employment opportunities, post-secondary programs and meet with child care organizations.
When: April 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- 10:30 a.m.: Student and Professional Panel.
- 11 a.m.: Keynote speaker Jill Javelosa, Registered Early Childhood Educator, pedagogical leader and reflective practitioner who has two decades of experience in family support, early learning and community engagement. Javelosa is an author, speaker and consultant, with expertise in curriculum development, capacity building and innovative program design that centres children, families and educators.
Where: Region of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby, Ontario.
Why: The Early Learning and Child Care Showcase and Job Fair aims to raise awareness of careers in early learning and child care, as there is a growing need for a skilled workforce.
