Update: left-turn restrictions at Harmony Road South and Tennyson Avenue in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is phasing the start of previously announced left-turn restrictions at the intersection of Harmony Road South (Regional Road 33) and Tennyson Avenue in the City of Oshawa.
Where: The northbound left-turn from Harmony Road South onto Tennyson Avenue and the eastbound left-turn from Tennyson Avenue onto Harmony Road South in Oshawa.
When: The restrictions will now begin in the summer, instead of late January as previously announced. They will be in effect Monday to Friday from 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m., starting in the summer.
Why: The Region is phasing implementation to prioritize safety improvements while maintaining reasonable access for residents during nearby road construction. The Region will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as needed to ensure the safety of all road users while minimizing disruption to residents.
