Area specific development charges for water supply and sanitary sewerage services in Seaton

On March 27, Durham Regional Council will hold a public meeting, pursuant to Section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, to present the proposed Area Specific Development Charges By-law, as well as the related underlying background study. It is also an opportunity for the public to provide input on the proposed by-law and study regarding water supply and sanitary sewerage services in the Seaton Community in the City of Pickering.

Electric vehicle charging infrastructure expands across the region

Whitby, Ontario – Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are becoming more commonplace throughout Durham Region. Today’s announcement of $2.4 million in federal funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) will enable the installation of 259 new EV charging stations across Durham Region. The funding, valued at $605,000 for Round 3 and $1.8 million for Round 4 of the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), provides up to 50 per cent funding for EV chargers.
