Online meeting for community housing redevelopment projects in Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham, in partnership with Durham Regional Local Housing Corporation (DRLHC) and Infrastructure Ontario, is revitalizing two DRLHC properties located at Malaga Road and Christine Crescent in the City of Oshawa. As part of the Region’s continued commitment to engaging with the local community on these projects, an online community meeting is being held to obtain feedback on the design concepts.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham will be opening 1635 Dundas Street East in winter 2024 as a low barrier shelter for people experiencing homelessness. The Region has selected Christian Faith Outreach Centre (CFOC) as the service operator for 1635 Dundas Street East, through a comprehensive Expression of Interest process.

Ontario Launching “One Fare" to Save Transit Riders $1,600

Transit riders using multiple transit agencies will transfer at no extra charge.
TORONTO — The Ontario government is keeping costs down for public transit riders with the launch of “One Fare,” which will save riders an average of $1,600 each year.
