Second booster doses also available for immunocompromised youth 12 to 17-years old
Whitby, Ontario - In line with the recent announcement from the province, Durham Region Health Department will be offering paediatric Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine for children six-months to under five-years old. Whitby, Ontario, In line with the recent provincial announcement, Durham Region Health Department is now expanding availability for fourth dose (second booster dose) of COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents 18 and older. Eligible residents can now book appointments at community immunization clinics for their second booster dose by visiting durham.ca/vaccineappointment. No walk-ins will be available for second booster doses. Vaccines provided will be Pfizer Comirnaty BioNTech and Moderna Spikevax.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has received a limited supply of the Novavax Nuvaxovid (Novavax) COVID-19 vaccine. Novavax offers a new COVID-19 vaccine option for individuals who are not able to receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or have been waiting for an alternative to the mRNA vaccines. Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine is no longer available at Durham Region COVID-19 community immunization clinics.
The two-dose Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is available for adults...

Eligible Durham Region residents can now book appointments which will be available starting on April 8. To book an appointment, please visit durham.ca/vaccineappointment or call 1-888-444-5113. No walk-ins will be available for fourth doses. Vaccines provided for fourth doses will be Pfizer Comirnaty BioNTech and Moderna Spikevax.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department is announcing the start of catch-up immunization clinics for students in grades 7 to 12 who need immunizations that were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning April 4 and for a limited time, students can receive Hepatitis B, Meningitis, and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunizations at community immunization clinics.
