Whitby, Ontario – As Durham Region students gear up to go back to school next week, the Region of Durham is reminding road users to keep safety top of mind in school zones.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of a weekend road closure on Champlain Avenue (Regional Road 25), in the Town of Whitby.
When: Saturday, September 7 at 6 p.m. to Monday, September 9 at 6 a.m. Exact times are approximate. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario, Aug. 27, 2019 – Durham Region Health Department, in partnership with the Durham Region Youth Suicide Prevention Action Group (YSPAG), is inviting residents to recognize World Suicide Prevention Day on Sept. 10 and participate in Distress Centre Durham’s 15th Annual Walk for Suicide Awareness on Sept. 7.

Labour Day holiday will affect blue box recycling collection schedule

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind residents of changes to scheduled curbside Blue Box collection due to the Labour Day Holiday.
When: September 2 to 7.
Where: Residents in the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby will temporarily have their collection moved to the following day.
This means that residents with collection scheduled for Monday, September 2 will temporarily have their collection moved to Tuesday, September 3. This shift will continue...
