Regions proposing to increase waste processing limit by 20,000 tonnes at Durham York Energy Centre

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipalities of Durham and York have begun the Environmental Screening Process to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently renewing its five-year strategic plan and will be hosting a town hall discussion in Scugog Township.
Local community organizations, businesses and residents are invited to share their ideas and provide input about the future of Durham Region. The strategic plan is an important framework document that will help guide the Region’s decision-making and allocation of resources over the next five years.
