Changes to Blue Box collection schedule Family Day week for Oshawa and Whitby residents

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to scheduled curbside Blue Box collection due to the Family Day holiday.
When: Oshawa and Whitby residents will have their Blue Box collection moved to the following day the week of Feb. 20.
Blue Box collection scheduled for Monday, Feb. 20 (Family Day) will be moved to Tuesday, Feb. 21. This shift will continue throughout the week, ending with Friday, Feb. 24’s collections...
Wilson Road South in Oshawa closed due to watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that Wilson Road South is closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East, due to a watermain break.
When: Repair work is ongoing and will be completed as soon as possible.
Where: Wilson Road South is closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East (around Highway 401).
Why: To repair a broken watermain.

The Region has been contacted by concerned residents inquiring about door-to-door salespersons who want access to test the water or examine the water meters.
