Durham residents are reminded that natural Christmas tree collection will be offered after the holiday season.

 

 

WHEN:

Ajax and Pickering residents’ Christmas tree collection will occur on regular collection days during the weeks of Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. Brock, Scugog, Uxbridge and Clarington residents’ Christmas tree collection will occur on Monday, Jan. 9 and Monday, Jan. 16 only. Holiday hours for Durham Region's waste management facilities and call centre

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents that its waste management facilities (in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa) and waste management call centre will have revised hours of operation during the holiday season.

Open Data is here to stay

Durham Regional Council has approved a permanent Open Data program for The Regional Municipality of Durham. This will allow certain data to be made freely available to the public, in a machine-readable format, without any restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control. The launch of this program is the result of a 10-month Open Data pilot initiative, which was met with very positive results by those who had accessed the data.
