Applications are open for the Community Safety and Well-Being Fund

Whitby, Ontario – In partnership with Public Safety Canada, Durham Region will be accepting applications for the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund Grant program. This grant program supports not-for-profit organizations and community groups who are leading violence prevention projects initiatives in communities throughout Durham.

When:

  • Submissions for Stream One, Direct Intervention Fund, will be accepted from July 28, 2025, to August 22, 2025.
  • Submissions for Stream Two, Community Strengthening Fund, will be accepted from July 28, 2025, to August 22, 2025.
  • Submissions for Stream Three, Intimate Partner Violence and Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response Fund, will be accepted from July 28, 2025, to August 22, 2025.

Where: To apply, please complete the online application form.

Why: Durham Region is committed to community safety and well-being; a process made possible through the implementation of our Durham Region CSWB Plan.

Not-for-profit organizations and other community partners are uniquely positioned to address complex community safety and well-being challenges as they understand community needs and have expertise related to service delivery within these specific communities.
