Help support a circular economy during Environment Days

Residents are invited to drop off items for reuse, recycling and safe disposal at our upcoming Environment Days:

  • Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine), Whitby Operations Centre, 333 McKinney Drive, Whitby
  • Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine), Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre (parking lot), 91 Elliot Street, Cannington
  • Saturday, September 21 from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine), Lakeview Park (parking lot), Kluane Avenue, Oshawa
  • Saturday, October 5 from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine), Municipal Boat Launch (parking lot), 2 Old Rail Lane, Port Perry

Durham Region’s Environment Days support a circular economy, a model which retains and recovers as much value as possible from resources by reusing, repairing, refurbishing, remanufacturing, or repurposing products and materials before they are recycled or thrown out.

Residents are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, to be donated to a local food bank (please check that boxes and cans are not damaged, opened or expired).
