Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents of lane restrictions on Consumers Drive and a 401 West off-ramp closure at Brock Street in the Town of Whitby.

When: Ongoing daytime work for curb and sidewalk replacement until October 15. Overnight paving work from October 15 to 31. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Lane restrictions will take place on Consumers Drive from Brock Street to 60 metres east of Sunray Street in Whitby. The 401 West off-ramp at Brock Street will be closed while paving is happening on Consumers Drive between Brock Street and the 401 interchange.

Why: To safely complete road rehabilitation and paving.

Note: Bus routes and bus stops will continue to be open throughout the work. Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra time when using Consumers Drive.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
