Micro-Grant Program applications now open to support community-led projects across Durham

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is now accepting applications for the Community Micro-Grant Program, supporting community-led projects that strengthen safety, belonging and well-being across Durham Region.

Funded through Durham Region's council-approved Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund, the program supports grassroots initiatives that reduce youth violence, encourage positive youth development and strengthen community connections.

Examples of previously funded projects include:

• Youth sports programs that promote leadership and positive choices.
• Mentorship, cultural learning and career exploration opportunities for youth.
• Workshops that build skills, confidence and a sense of belonging.
• Peer support programs that strengthen family and community connections.

Applications for the Community Micro-Grant Program are open from August 4 to August 28. Completed applications must be submitted by August 28.
