Road closure on Regional Road 3 in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses of a road closure on Regional Road 3 in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: July 2 to August 28. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule. Following the closure, the current lane restrictions will be put back in place.

Where: The road closure will be on Regional Road 3, from east of Townline Road (Regional Road 55) to west of Enfield Road (Regional Road 34), in the Municipality of Clarington. Detour routes will be place. Local access will remain.

Why: This work is part of the reconstruction project to rebuild and widen Regional Road 3. For more information and updates on the construction activity, please visit durham.ca/RegionalRoad3.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
